HeartSaver CPR/First Aid Course
Piedmont Henry Hospital Offers CPR/First Aid Course Piedmont Henry Hospital will conduct a HeartSaver CPR First Aid course on Friday, February 24, 2012 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Course length may vary depending upon the skill level of participants.
The HeartSaver CPR First Aid course is taught by a certified American Heart Association instructor and includes CPR and first aid for adult and pediatric victims. The first aid portion includes medical, injury and environmental emergencies.

Free Diabetes Awareness Screening
Piedmont Henry Hospital will sponsor a free Diabetes Awareness Screening on Thursday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wal-Mart on Willow Lane in McDonough. During the diabetes screening, participants will receive a blood glucose screening, symptoms education and prevention information.
Risk factors for diabetes include heredity, obesity, age and being a woman who has had a baby weighing more than nine pounds. Symptoms of the disease may include frequent urination, excessive thirst, extreme hunger, extreme weight loss, increased fatigue, irritability and blurry vision. Diabetes may be prevented by eating healthy, exercising regularly and controlling levels of blood glucose and lipids.
