Piedmont Henry Hospital has consistently fulfilled its responsibility to the community, not only by providing high quality medical care, but also by committing resources year after year to a variety of programs and services that benefit the community through education, prevention and support. We are committed to improving the overall health status of our community and, specifically, the health problems of medically underserved populations. This mission is achieved by identifying existing and future health needs in the community, and addressing those needs through new or existing health initiatives, including education, prevention, and screening programs, both independently and in collaboration with other community resources.
Community benefit programs are designed to address specific community health needs and provide treatment or health education as a response to these identified needs by: improving access to healthcare services, enhancing the health of the community, advancing medical or health care knowledge, or relieving or reducing the burden of other community efforts.
