Piedmont Henry Hospital Leadership Team

Charles F. Scott
Charles F. Scott became President and Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Henry Hospital in March 2007. He has over 32 years of experience as a healthcare executive, including nine years as President and CEO. Most recently, Scott served as the President and CEO of Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA.

Scott received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Gary W. Chawk
Gary W. Chawk, CPA, MBA, FACHE, FHFMA joined Piedmont Henry Hospital as vice president and chief financial officer in June 2011.

Chawk has extensive knowledge in leading the financial operations of healthcare organizations. He comes to PHH from Gary Chawk Financial Consulting, LLC where he served as president, specializing in operational improvements in the healthcare sector.

Chawk received his B.A. in Business Administration and M.B.A. from The University of South Florida. He is a certified public accountant and is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Jeff A. Cooper
Jeff A. Cooper began his tenure at Piedmont Henry Hospital in September of 1992 and currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Cooper has a B.S. in Health Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and a M.S. in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.

An active member of the community, Cooper is immediate past president of the Henry County Rotary Club and serves on the Henry County Chamber’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.

Karen Kiel
Karen Kiel has served Piedmont Henry Hospital in various roles during her more than 30 year tenure prior to being named Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer in October 2009.

Kiel holds a Diploma as Registered Nurse from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Services from College of St. Francis, a certificate in Health Services Administration and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Jagdeep Singh
Dr. Jagdeep Singh is the newest member of the Piedmont Henry Hospital executive team. Dr. Singh began his role as Vice President for Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer at Piedmont Henry Hospital in January 2012.

Dr. Singh brings approximately five years of experience as a VPMA in two healthcare systems. He completed a residency in Family Practice in Sylvania, Ohio, and a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. Prior to becoming a VPMA, Dr. Singh was an emergency physician as well as the EMS Medical Director in Columbus, GA.

Dr. Singh has an MBA in the Physician Executive Program from Auburn University and is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
